Our Team at Veneto Tennis Club
Meet the leadership team that keeps Veneto Tennis Club running smoothly behind the scenes.
President’s Welcome Message:
Dear Members and Friends,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to another exciting season at the Veneto Tennis Club. Since our founding in 1994, what began as a modest community club has blossomed into a thriving, full-service tennis facility — a true hub for tennis lovers of all ages and skill levels.
These past years have been one of transformation and progress. We have completed several major renovations and added new facilities to enhance both the playing and social experience for our members. From upgraded courts and lighting systems to new lounge areas and training spaces, every improvement was made with our members in mind.
Our growth would not be possible without the strength of our leadership. I am proud to be supported by a dedicated and experienced Board of Directors, which includes many of our esteemed past Presidents, founding members, and active members-at-large. Their collective passion for the sport and the club continues to shape our vibrant community.
We are also thrilled to introduce our new management team, who bring fresh energy and a member first approach to every facet of club operations. Alongside them, our expanded maintenance service team ensures that our grounds and facilities remain in top condition year-round.
Equally vital to our success is our outstanding coaching and training staff. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time or striving for high-performance competition, our team is here to guide you. Our comprehensive programming serves both adults and juniors, offering everything from recreational play to elite-level training.
A key part of our junior development is our integration with the ATI Academy, which allows us to provide a complete pathway from beginner to high-performance levels. The Veneto Junior Program continues to grow, producing confident, skilled young players and future leaders of the sport.
Our membership continues to increase year after year, a testament to the welcoming environment, quality programming, and the shared love of tennis that defines our club.
Looking ahead, we remain committed to building on our legacy. With bold plans and a clear vision, the future holds even bigger and better things for the Veneto Tennis Club.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
With sincere regards,

Veneto Tennis History
Rooted in tradition and community values, our legacy of excellence has flourished since 1993.
The Veneto Tennis Club Inc. was incorporated by letters Patent on June 23, 1993 as a non-profit corporation for the purpose of constructing a year-round tennis complex. The Board of Directors in the Veneto Tennis Club is composed of 11 Directors, 6 of which were members at the time of incorporation.
The Federation of the Veneto Clubs and Associations was incorporated as a nonprofit organization for the purpose of uniting all the various clubs and associations which were composed of people originating from the Veneto region of Italy. The basic purposes of the Veneto Federation are to promote the cultural heritage of its members and for the community at large, and to share its cultural heritage.
In the development of its various programs, the Federation places great value on the family and on the Veneto culture in the Canadian environment. The recreational and cultural facilities of the Federation are open to ALL Canadians who abide by the rules and regulations established by the Board of Directors of the Federation. In October 1987, the Veneto Federation together with the Town of Vaughan, entered into a lease agreement with the Ministry of Government Services, for the use of a 75-acre site which had previously been designated Public Use Area for recreational purpose, a lease which extends until the year 2035.
Extensive feasibility studies have been used as a guide in a multi-phase development plan which will eventually result in a multi-purpose recreation and cultural centre. One such plan was realized when the Veneto Federation entered into an agreement with the Veneto Tennis Club to build and manage an indoor tennis facility.
The Directors were successful in raising $300,000 from 50 private investors, another $300,000 was provided as a 10-year loan from the bank. The additional financing was provided by 4 key members of the Club. Later, the Club was refinanced and the key individuals who had advanced funds were paid off.
Annual memberships and court usage provided a substantial portion of the revenue to repay the loan, generate revenues to pay operating expenses and to provide for future expansion. The current indoor facility is the envy of the Metropolitan Toronto tennis aficionados. The building is spacious, well-lit and well-ventilated. The additional four courts offered in the dome provide a space where high performance tennis juniors can develop their skills for a future in tennis. Additional expansion plans are currently being examined to meet the growing demand of tennis in the local community and surrounding cities. The Directors goals are to provide a professionally administered tennis facility which makes optimum use of the courts, provides a pleasant club atmosphere for members of all ages, supports the development of our junior players and provides opportunities for instruction, social play and organized competition. As a member of the Veneto Tennis Club, one is automatically a member of the Veneto Centre and thereby can participate in and benefit from its social, recreational and cultural offerings.
